Kansas holds one of the best records in Maui at 7-5. They took home the title in 1996.
Point guard Mario Chalmers brings the ball up in Kansas' second game in the 2005 EA SPORTS Maui Invitational. The Jayhawks lost to Arkansas, 65-64.
Tom Coverdale helped Indiana capture its first EA SPORTS Maui Invitational crown in 2002. The Hoosiers beat Massachusetts, Gonzaga and Virginia.
Purdue's Brian Cardinal got down and dirty to help the Boilermakers beat Chaminade in 1999 Maui Invitational, 96-78. Purdue lost to North Carolina in the finals.
The Cardinals, both Stanford and Louisville, jump it up in 2004. Louisville took fifth place with an 82-67 victory.
North Carolina has the second best record in Maui history at 10-2. They have taken home the crown in 1999 and 2004.
Memphis and Kentucky met in the third place game in 2006. The Tigers topped the Wildcats, 80-63

Fact Of The Day

To date, 85 schools representing 21 conferences and 38 states have competed in the EA SPORTS Maui Invitational, with Maui participants winning 55 of 71 NCAA championships, 55 of 71 national runner-up spots and comprising 214 of 284 Final Four teams.

It was just an early-season game in the quarterfinals of the [EA SPORTS] Maui Invitational, but it was a classic nonetheless. Led by Adam Morrison's 43 points, Gonzaga outlasted the Spartans in a marathon that featured 13 lead changes in the final seven and half minutes of regulation, including four in the final 1:14.
