Please be advised that 2008 marks the eighth year that EA SPORTS has served as the title sponsor of college basketball's premier early-season tournament – the EA SPORTS Maui Invitational Hosted by Chaminade.

As your team and tournament coverage of the 2008 EA SPORTS Maui Invitational gears up with another strong field featuring North Carolina, Indiana, Texas, Alabama, Notre Dame, Oregon, Saint Joseph's and host Chaminade, we respectfully ask that you do everything in your power to include the full name of this great event – the EA SPORTS Maui Invitational – at least in the initial story reference and consistently throughout your broadcasts.

While title sponsors are rarely embraced on the editorial/broadcast sides of event coverage, they remain a vital source of funding and support to ensure that great college sporting events continue to thrive. Without them, many great events would be financially threatened at the very least; some would most likely not survive.
