2009 marked the ninth year that EA SPORTS has served as the title sponsor of college basketball's premier early-season tournament – the EA SPORTS Maui Invitational Hosted by Chaminade. 

We respectfully ask that you do everything in your power to include the full name of this great event – the EA SPORTS Maui Invitational – at least in the initial story reference and consistently throughout any broadcasts.

While title sponsors are rarely embraced on the editorial/broadcast sides of event coverage, they remain a vital source of funding and support to ensure that great college sporting events continue to thrive. Without them, many great events would be financially threatened at the very least; some would most likely not survive.
