Oklahoma State defeated UConn 98-90 in Game 3 of the Maui Jim Maui Invitational. Jawun Evans, who led all scorers with 35, also had five of the team's 18 steals. Phil Forte and Jeffrey Caroll each contributed 18 points.
Oklahoma State led the entire game. Their largest lead, 19, came late in the second half before UConn eventually cut it to single digits. UConn's Jalen Adams had 34 points, while Rodney Purvis had 20 on 50 percent shooting from the floor.
Oklahoma State will play the winner of North Carolina vs. Chaminade tomorrow, 10:30 p.m. ET. UConn will face the loser of the matchup at 3:30.
