The
EA SPORTS Maui Invitational officially gets underway on Friday, Nov. 15 with the first two Opening Games of the Tournament. Five of the seven Opening Games will be televised as teams prepare for the Regional Games and Championship Round.

The Opening Games feature seven Island Teams –
Arkansas,
Baylor,
California,
Dayton,
Gonzaga,
Minnesota and
Syracuse – hosting one home game each against one Mainland Team –
Coastal Carolina,
Louisiana,
Oakland and
St. Francis Brooklyn. These games will be played at the Island Teams' home arenas.
Syracuse leads all teams playing in the Opening Games with a 6-0 mark all time in the EA SPORTS Maui Invitational. The Orange won the Tournament in both 1990 and 1998. Dayton holds the second best all-time Tournament record among participating teams at 5-1. The Flyers won the 2003 EA SPORTS Maui Invitational.
Baylor and Louisiana will meet for the 10th time, and first since 1994. Baylor leads the all-time series with six wins. Arkansas' meeting with Louisiana will mark the third time the two schools have met, and the first in over 40 years. The all-time series is tied at one game apiece. Syracuse and St. Francis Brooklyn will be meeting for the fourth time. Syracuse is 3-0 in the all-time series, including a 75-51 victory over the Terriers in 2009.
The 2013 EA SPORTS Maui Invitational Championship Round takes place on Nov. 25, 26 and 27 at the Lahaina Civic Center on the beautiful island of Maui. All 12 Championship Round games will be broadcast live on the ESPN networks.
